On 8 October 2014, the Zaans Museum opened its doors for the new exhibition entitled: 'De Zaanstreek maakt het' ( ‘The Zaanstreek Makes It’).
The new exhibition, designed by Studio Pronk, throws new light on the museum’s collection and the stories about the Zaanstreek then and now. The’ Zaans Spectacle’ brings the presentation to life and allows the visitor to experience the mills, factories and hard work. The exhibition space rolls back time through the use of light, sound and projections.
The portrait gallery and the stories table, where all the documentaries of ‘Monuments Speaking’ are be on display, complete this exploration of the Zaanstreek.
