200 years ago King William I commissioned the construction of a royal vessel. In those times, richly decorated rowing sloops were a ‘must have’ for European monarchs. Being a maritime nation par excellence, a royal rowing barge was also a perfect match for the Netherlands.
The wonderful royal barge can be seen in this newly build boathouse designed by architect Liesbeth van der Pol.
The Audiovisual installation is installed and programmed by Rapenburg Plaza, the film which can be seen behind the barge is made by videodesigner Arjen Klerkx.
